This book includes 5 stories so I'll introduce about The Last Leaf. "The last leaf will fall soon and then I'll die." (p26) Sue and Johnsy were artists and they live together. One day Johnsy had pneumonia. She became weaker and weaker and lost her vitality. Johnsy said "The last leaf will fall soon and then I'll die" but Sue didn't want her to die. Old Behrman lived downstairs. He knows them and he always says "One day, I will paint a masterpiece." That night, there was a storm. However the last leaf didn't fall. Johnsy got her vitality back and became better. Actually the last leaf was painted the wall by Behrman, he died in 2 days because he was exposed to the storm. This book includes two another stories, The Signalman and The Ghost at the Trial. I will introduce The Signalman. One day, I (storyteller) meet a signalman. They gradually became good friends and heard some stories from the signalman. It is that he saw a ghost sometimes before, passengers died and there were accidents after he saw a ghost, the ghost shouted "Below there! Look out! Look out!", " For God's sake, clear the way!" and he can't forget the ghost's gesture, covering the face with left hand and waving right hand. Heowever he becomes strange day by day. I go to see him afterwards, but I am heard that the signalman died because he was run over by a train. When he died, he was in rail before he knew it and shouted "Below there! Look out!
